Digital Art is a growing industry. I am offering my traveling digital class to our community. As a Native American, I have had the privilege to work with our surrounding Native communities teaching a variety of classes to include digital art. I have taught ages 10 and above. I am looking to work with our local community centers and organizations to bring digital art to our youth and older.

I offer small digital art classes for the youth and young at heart. Each class has a 10 student class limit and I provide the student with an iPad and stylus to use during the class. The student just needs to bring themselves. Each student will receive a professionally printed copy of their favorite design. This is included in the price of the class. 

Weekend Classes: two days total. The option for just one day is also available.
Saturday 10 am – 4 pm (optional) 
Sunday  10 am – 4 pm (optional)

Weekday Classes:  two evenings or one evening classes.
4:00 pm – 6:30 pm
5:30 pm – 8:00 pm

Beginners Class

Each student taking this course will get hands-on experience using an iPad, stylus and the Procreate app. This app is used by artists from all over the world and it is made specifically for Apple products. This is a great beginners course for anyone wishing to explore digital art. It will provide a great foundation that the beginner can use to further their interest in digital art. Free earbuds will be provided to each student and a print of their favorite piece will be given to each student. The students will save their work as a jpeg or png and the instructor will email each student their images so they will have a copy of all their work, along with a print of their favorite piece.

Students will learn:

  • -drop-shadows
  • -gaussian blur
  • -textures
  • -layers
  • -inserting pictures
  • -symmetry
  • -color drop
  • -re-do/undo
  • -various digital brushes
  • -clipping mask
  • -enlarge/reduction

Intermediate Class

Each student will receive hands-on experience using the iPad, stylus and the Procreate app. This app is used by artists from all over the world and it is made specifically for Apple products. This is a great intermediate course for anyone wishing to explore digital art. It provides techniques anyone can use to further their interest in digital art.  Free earbuds will be provided to each student. The students will save their work as a jpeg or png and the instructor will email each student their images so they will have a copy of all their work and they will receive a print of their favorite piece.

Students will learn:

  • -papercut effects
  • -color drop
  • -re-do/undo features
  • -various digital brushes
  • -enlarge/reduction
  • -creating a signature
  • -self-portraits

Animation

​In this class we will learn how to create an animation using the Procreate App, iPad and stylus. Each student will be provided the equipment to use for class and will able to save their animations to their emails. The classes run from the very basics of animation to intermediate. Each student will receive a pair of free earbuds.

Students will learn:

  • -Procreate’s Animation Assist feature
  • -setting up an animation guide
  • -adding and selecting Frames
  • -Onion Skins to help draw the animation
  • -to adjust the speed of the animation
  • -the proper way to export the animation
  • -reduceing the size of the animation when needed
  • -adjusting the Onion Skin -opacity and more
  • -to use the Liquify Tool to adjust 
  • -how to use the Eraser Tool to make animation disappear and reappear
  • -to create and set  background and foreground layers
  • -basic frame-by-frame animation
  • -how to color pick a previous color 
  • -to use textures in the background and foreground

Traditional Art Classes

I am available to teach traditional art classes such as drawing, design, painting, etc. I can work with any organization to meet the needs of the students involved. We can work on a themed based lesson, random or specifically designed lessons to achieve a certain goal.
